Active committees and their chairpersons: 

1. The Nominating Committee shall consist of a chair and two others appointed by the President in March, to present a slate of officers from members of Friends in good standing for vote at the annual meeting in April. Other candidates may be nominated at the annual meeting. CHAIR: John Mulhern

2. The Financial Planning Committee shall consist of the Treasurer as Chair and two additional members. The committee shall review income and expenses, prepare an annual budget, and develop and monitor funding sources for the organization’s activities and programs.  The committee will appoint an independent pro bono auditor to review the Friends’ financial records in advance of the annual meeting and present a brief report. CHAIR: Joan Tarachow

3. The Habitat Committee shall promote ecological restoration within Kletzsch Park.  CHAIR: Martha Lunz 

4. The Program Committee shall prepare educational and entertaining presentations and field trips related to park issues on a regular basis.  Events are communicated through the Calendar of Events page of the web site and in our Pathfinder news letter. CHAIR: Alan Eisenberg

5. The Newsletter Editor shall prepare and distribute a Friends’ newsletter four times per year to coincide with the changing seasons.  The Kletzsch Park Pathfinder will be viewable and printable from the www.kletzschfriends.com web site.  CHAIR: Buzz Althoen

6. The Marketing Committee shall publicize the Friends of Kletzsch Park, its projects, accomplishments, programs, and activities and shall direct fundraising and membership drives as deemed appropriate.  Design and production of marketing materials and web development and maintenance are on-going activities.  CHAIR:  Jon Wright  

7. The Membership Committee shall keep an up-to-date record of members, including their membership category; notify those whose memberships are soon to expire; and collect and record renewal fees to forward to the Treasurer. CHAIR: Melissa Cook
