“History of the Sunny Point Neighborhood and the

Milwaukee River"
Saturday, September 12th 2009
This power Point presentation will concentrate on the earliest records of that area and the portion of Kletzsch Park formerly owned by Alvin P. Kletzsch. The roll the Milwaukee River played was huge. He will talk about the native-American Indians that lived there and the first businesses that sprang up after the Indians were relocated.

Of major importance were the bridges, dams, floods and the first homes built along Sunny Point. There will be a pictorial tour of the homes, still visible today if looking east at the Kletzsch Dam/Falls.
